Working in the restaurant industry I have come to realize
how important the employees are when it comes to marketing. These are the
people who are trusted to make the sales and give the customers an experience
they will want to come back for again and again. Especially in the service
sector, employees should be considered the top marketing tools a company can
have.
Your advertising is important. The radio commercials giving
location and hours, the T.V. commercials showing what you do, and the coupons
and flyers showing specials; this all brings the customers in the door then it
is up to your employees to deliver above and beyond to give the customer that
unexpected experience. This relationship marketing is a key concept for
employees to understand and be motivated to deliver consistently to bring those
customers back again and again.
When the employees are happy with the work environments and
believe in the company’s mission and support their vision this shows through to
the customers. The employees are more motivated to build that relationship with
their customers and give them that experience that they keep coming back for
building your brand and name with everyone.
